Sankalp

Sammohan

One of the traditional shatkarma of the Tantric tradition.

Sammohan — Maa Baglamukhi Temple, Nalkheda, Madhya Pradesh

What this sankalp means

Sammohan is named among the shatkarma of the Tantric tradition and is traditionally understood as the drawing of goodwill and favour.

How devotees bring it

As with the other shatkarma, this is offered as upasana of the Devi with a sankalp taken in the devotee’s own name. It is not a means of acting upon another person, and no outcome is promised.

How the seva is offered

  • Offered as Maa Baglamukhi Puja with Jaap.
  • Completed with a Hawan where the devotee wishes.
  • Pandit Ji hears the sankalp first and explains what can be offered.

Sevas are offered as acts of devotion. Nothing here promises or predicts any outcome, and nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice.
